A fundie acquaintance of mine reacted really negatively when I used the first part of it (which OUGHT to make anyone's head spin--shows how thick her head is). She was all, "Well *I* haven't done anything to oppress those people. *I* didn't make them not leave, etc..."

So I reminded her about the rest of it. Christians don't have to just not actively harm people; they are guilty of an equal sin when they do NOT do all those things to help.

Not that I'm Christian anymore.

History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.

When you FAIL TO ACT when you should, it, too, is a sin.
