I've been obsessed and a couch potato for almost a week now
I'm trying to remember the last time I was this enthralled with something-maybe the presidential debates when Bush sucked so bad it seemed clear that ANYONE watching would realize what an immature whiny fool he is..... Or maybe the time watching the military roll through the desert in Iraq, in the innocent days before I realized that embedded reporters were stooges of the Pentagon.

The last time I was glued like this to the computer, television and newspapers was 9 11.

5. To me, it's been like watching a car wreck. You
know it will be brutal, but I'm a lookie-loo and haven't been able to look away.
There are times I want to and have buried myself in a 'light' book of fiction (yes, kidnapping/murder/mayhem) and that gives me relief. What does that say?
Debates, war, 9/11, 11/00, and 12/99 have been the most obsessions for me this century, so far. Damn, and it's early!
