On the charity again-it's great how people are giving but it steams me

that our government not only didn't prepare before the tragedy, but actually expects the citizenry, including faith-based and other charity organizations to take up the slack for what I thought we PAID TAXES FOR. I also cannot drum up support for the Poppy and Dog Show-it's like misdirection to try to appeal to our good feelings instead of seeing that government does have a purpose and it is to HELP people in case of misfortune.

1. Our taxes are supposed to be what we pay to take care of ourselves.

But those have been captured by the Bushista gang. So, all we can do is donate through liberal organizations.

2. You are correct, but we have to play with the cards we've been dealt.

It sucks, but it's the reality of the situation at this moment in time. Hopefully this tragedy will wake up the masses. We can only hope!
