Not only will New Orleans be back but-I truly believe-America will be back.

You have far more optimism than I do, right now. Oh I don't doubt New Orleans will be back, and better than ever, but it's this "America" place I have my doubts about.

It's not the America I was raised to believe it was.

Its an alien, wierd, unfriendly place and I feel very out of place. But I believe that, deep down, the country I remember still exists. Sure hope I'm right.

That Saturday, on a Raleigh, NC talk radio station, I heard the most obscene RW complaints about all the welfare people left after the storm, blah, blah, blah. Four assholes in a row saying the same shit.
I thought I was going to stroke out right there. I screamed at the radio at the top of my lungs, I began to slam things around my kitchen in total disgust.
Then, I broke down and cried and cried.
What has happened to humanity? What has happened to my country?
America has lost it's heart and soul.

No one better ever talk to me about America again.

Oh we got some people here with good hearts, with souls.

But for the most part, this is Werefuckedistan. That's what it is. NO ONE BETTER TALK ABOUT AMERICA TO ME.
