"Hate to Talk Positives About NOLA but it's Certainly a Growth Business"
"I always hate to talk about positives in a situation like this, but this is certainly a growth business over the next 6 to 12 months," said Geoffrey M. Hertel, Tetra's chief executive. By Friday, Tetra had been able to send an 800-ton barge it owns, the Arapaho, to the gulf to be used for platform repairs, Mr. Hertel said.

3. This is the culture of the robber barons running the country.
All of us exist merely to produce corporate profits.

4. I am adding a small addition
to my house. It is ten by sixteen feet. Linda the building inspector just stopped by; "Ed" she says; "Have you bought all your lumber yet?" And she continues; "The price of lumber doubled this morning."

So shortly I am off to the lumber yard for a few things I had not bought yet.

Now I do not have a pressing need for this addition and I pity those that do have a serious need for shelter right now.

I guess this is also the end of the new home building spree.

5. What a buffoon....
Nice to know that in times of strife some people can still find ways to be total jack-offs.

"Well, thousands died, and that is awful, but at least my business will pick up."

:puke:

7. How many well dressed predators
are going to try to cash in on someone elses misfortune? The NOLA area developers are probably drooling all over themselves.
