"I am cancelling my $5,000 check to the Red Cross!"
This was said by some freeper cspan caller yesterday after hearing a black rapper say bad things against white people. The rapper said "GWBush doesn't care about black people." I forget the guy's name but this was the only thing he said right? I didn't hear anything else. Why is this idiot so upset, the rapper was only making a comment about Bush. And I also doubt he could afford to contribute five thousand dollars either. Lying asswipe.

2. Kanye West is his name, and he is right.
Bush also doesn't care about any of the poor, any non-republicans, or anyone that can't help him personally.

8. Yes
And Jesse Jackson was on CNN and he was asked about that. He didn't directly be as blunt as West but he said basically it's true because of how long it took them to reply.

4. $5 Grand. Sure, He Sent That Much
Anyone with the resources to send that much out of a sense of charity and compassion would be impossible to offend. There is nothing the rapper could have said that would make someone that generous recall the contribution.

He's just another liar with the phone number to CSPAN.
The Professor

12. What the freep-holes DIDN'T HEAR...or CHOSE not to hear...
...was Kanye, in that SAME segment, saying he was ASHAMED to go shopping for himself while these people were in need. He said "I'm calling my business manager to find out what is the MOST I CAN GIVE..."

But hey, it's easier to slam him for being critical of Little Baby Jesus Bunnypants Bush.

Have some more CAKE, Mr. President!

Breaking News: Kanye West: George Bush doesn't care about black people"

During the Concert for Hurricane Relief, Kanye West and Mike Meyers were celebrity narrators during the segment, West said: (rush transcript)

(fuller Transcript by Tracy& Eric)

"I hate the way they portray us in the media. "If you see a black family it says they are looting if you see a white family it says they are looking for food.

"We already realize a lot of the people that could help are at war now fighting another way and they’ve given them permission to go down and shoot us."

"George Bush doesn't care about black people."

Mike Meyers was floored...

7. I'm sure that raised money rather than hurt
I had already donated and donated again right after he said that (hoping that a flood of people would................. knowing that that's what gave people the final push to give)

11. So, the rapper worked for the Red Cross? No?
The Red Cross is a black organization? Wrong again? I know, the Red Cross is anti-Bush? Pro-Bush?

Help me with the logic here.....

23. No. See bus number 6 above yours.
The caller didn't exactly say "to the red cross". But he did say he was cancelling his five thousand dollar check. This nutball took offense that someone said something against Bush. He's a pathetic liar and I think the moderator knew it too.

13. $5,000!
If that asshat donated $5,000 to the RC then I will eat that cancelled check. But anyway, even if that were true, he's going to deny $5,000 in aid to those people because one person said something against Bush he doesn't like? Okay, some fundie blamed the hurricane on gay people, so I'm going to cancel my check, kay?

14. I'd love to be Mr. $5,000 Check's banker.
First of all, people who live in their mother's basements don't send $5,000 checks to anyone. OK, maybe 900 sex-line numbers, but that's it.

But, giving Mr. Embellishing Loser Blowhard the benefit of the doubt, I'd just love to be the banker on the other end of the phone when he calls in and says "CANCEL MY $5,000 CHECK TO THE RED CROSS RIGHT THE FUCK NOW!!"

Heh. Heh. Heh.

16. Yeah, yeah, yeah
I used to volunteer for a classical radio station. It's hard to imagine how people could get offended by a classical radio station, but they did at times, usually because the station played music by "fag" composers or musicians or "Communist" musicians. They all declared that they were major contributors and would never give a cent again.

But when I looked them up in the membership database, their names were never to be found.

17. IF there ever was such a check...
...the freeper should feel quite comfortable redirecting it to the Salvation Army, who can also certainly use the money for relief efforts.
