Idiot coworker says that hag Barbara Bush is right
She had told me last week how much she admired Babs. when i told her this morning what was said yesterday, she replied that life as an evacuee would be a "step up" for many of the victims! Unbelievable.
She then said that some of the facilities would even have job sites so that "these people could finally be put to work" No kidding.
I am finding it very hard to not punch this old, grey-haired "lady" (my coworker, not Dame Bush) She offered the opinion last week that maybe the hurricane was sent as "God's wrath" for the "wickedness" of New Orleans. I let her have it and told her that if I embraced a belief system that gave me such smug, self-satisfaction that I would at least read the fucking instruction manual!
The predictable irony is that all of her damn progeny feed from the public trough with their businesses dependent on government contracts. Oh, but that's different....

SOME people will never be brought around, and all one can hope for is the day that they can no longer contribute to the destruction of both this country and human decency. That may sound harsh, but some richly earn it.

10. Well, a few weeks ago, she told us how her father...
as an election official in Georgia, used to ensure that a "better class of them" were voting...by having "them" take a freakin' literacy test! Another coworker and I were actually stunned into silence for a few moments. When we pointed out to her the historical illegality and downright evil of this quaint old practice, she refused to see what was wrong with it. Even when I asked her often he made peckerwood Georgia crackers take a literacy test in order to determine THEIR fitness for voting.

She is always saying that "Martin Luther King must be rolling over in his grave" because of today's young African Americans. Bullshit. You just know she was jubilant when he was placed in his grave.

8. What Would Jesus DO?
Actually, whipping her ass from her desk to the street
with a cat-o-nine-tails would be more correct from a biblical standpoint:

John 2:15
"And when he had made a scourge of small cords,
he drove them all out of the temple,
and the sheep, and the oxen;
and poured out the changers' money,
and overthrew the tables;"

(Looks like it's cool with Jesus if you trash her desk
after she's gone, too! )

Then ask her how being deliberately forced to wallow in human filth with no food and water for a week is a "step up" for anyone.

She's always had him "interpreted" for her by like minded smug pulpit-dwelling grifters. And that's just the way she likes it.

See if that old hag still thinks that way - what a piece of shit person that is!!! Well, she's going to have to live with those comments the rest of her life.

Make sure that she knows that in no uncertain terms, you think she is an evil awful person who doesn't deserve even basic respect for having such an awful attitude. I have old Freeper hags like that at work - they are not well liked anymore. Wanna be a Freeper? Be prepared to become a pariah because your evil will be revealed to all in time...

17. Shit.
Tell this moron that many of those people were the working poor, owned their own homes (modest, older homes to be sure, but still), with family networks that are now destroyed forever.

Did I mention how much I hate these people?

18. Some stats quoted in our paper on Sunday, now I can't find the
article, said that 4.5% of the people were on some kind of government assistance. 12% were single mothers with an average of 2 children. The average pay was $25,000 versus the national average of $35,000.

Of the 4.5 % presumably some would be mentally or physically handicapped.

Therefore, these were basically hard working people who lived like many Americans week to week and could never get off the treadmill other than to pay a mortgage, utilities and put food on the table.

This woman is definitely one of the Reagan bigots who believe that welfare mothers all have cadillacs, mink coats and filet mignon 3 or 4 nights a week.

Truth be known, with the U S now in a negative savings rate,if a lot of people like this woman or her husband were out of work for a short period of time, they too would know a feeling of desparation when you can't buy your meds because the baby needs diapers and food, or you can't pay the phone bill because the water heater went out, or your child can't be on the soccer team because you can't afford the shoes..etc..etc..etc

Sometimes it seems that many people need someone to look down upon instead of trying to help pull them up.

19. That portion of the 4.5% who are presumably mentally or...
physically handicapped wouldn't sway her at all. Do you want to know why I say this? She and I work with mentally and physically handicapped adolescents! Her stated goal in our work is to teach them some skills so that "they can start helping out"! Little goldbrickers sitting twisted up in their chairs all day taking it easy while hardworking Americans (like her, of course) are pulling their own weight. Now, she has never actually said that last sentence(yet), but it is evident that is indeed her attitude. She is just a "salt of the earth" homespun monster.

Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 09:32 PM by zulchzulu
She was reading the paper and laughing about what Babs said. She wanted me to laugh with her. Dead silence was all I offered. It's not worth telling her off because you then have to hear her st-st-st-stutter more bullshit. Believe me, it ain't worth it.

I didn't talk to her the rest of the day except for formal requests and her yapping about how she couldn't figure out Word tables.

What a dumb pathetic wench.

27. not that I want to argue with scum like her
but does Babs or your coworker even think about the likelihood that these people lost loved ones in the floods? And not just their great uncle who was 92 anyway (sarcasm for Babs sake), but maybe their wife or child.

I dont' think you can talk with people like this. They have already written off survivors of Katrina. Written off before the disaster.

I talked to someone over the weekend. I didn't know her well and I was shocked at her response. She said "I'm saddened by what happened to them, but at the same time, I'm not. Know what I mean?" The implication being that it's their fault.

Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 04:41 PM by mitchum
and embarrasing that bush has been dragging his father out to defend his Katrina failure.
Her reply:
Well, one of the things I love about the bush family is how they
stick together...because I'm all about family.

me: But you don't find it shameless that the POTUS and an adult has his father defending his policies?

her: Well, Miss Lillian loved Jimmy...

me: But did she go on TV and defend her grown son during the Iranian hostage crisis? Did Rose Kennedy go on TV and defend JFK during the Cuban missle crisis?

her: Well...I don't know...

me: No, they didn't. Apparently, there is PLENTY you don't know, but a lot that you believe.

her: Well, I know that if Bill Clinton hadn't been having sex, his family would have been a lot more likely to defend him.

WTF?????!!!!

If I had any doubts before, I now know that I truly despise this stupid hag.

Since I am somewhat of a gentleman, and she is getting on in years, I will insist that she has a comfortable chair in which to sit up against the wall.
