How does bush go about leading an investigation?

How does bush go about leading an investigation?
Will he do it himself? Call in people, ask questions and get evidence?

Or will he appoint someone to do it?

I really don't understand how a president leads an investigation.

Has a president ever lead an investigation while in office?

Also, if he's going to lead an investigation into this, why won't he do it with the Plame investigation?

Okay, I know these are dumb questions, but I can't help but wonder. :shrug:

5. He's lying--just sounded good on tv.
There are a dozen quotes about ways to trick people being to say stupid things like "I'm going to lead an investigation myself about me." on television--just so the freepers can go "He *said* he's leading an investigation!"

Who's going to make sure he does it? No one. Who's going to call him out on it? No one.

Etc. etc. etc.
