Federal "safe room" project.

The federal government has a safe room program that subsidizes private house owners that build safe rooms. In Mississippi

Federal information at Safe Rooms and Community Shelters

I wonder (1) how many safe rooms were built in the area affected by Katrina and (2) how many of those safe rooms were built in middle class and homes of the poor?

in certain disaster aftermaths.
