Breaking into liquor stores
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 07:45 PM by Zodiak Ironfist
You know, my wife and I got to talking about the footage of people stealing alcohol and police confiscating alcohol from survivors of Katrina and it dawned on my wife that a big reason for looting a liquor store is to serve as an antiseptic. I am sorry to start a whole thread about it, but I am not sure that alcohol is seen by the average American in the living room as a necessary item.

Even beer can be used as a general analgesic.

Once again, sorry for starting a thread, but I really feel we are swimming upstream with the tide of crap that is coming from the WH, the MSM, and the RW talking heads.

ON edit...hah..spelled antiseptic anaseptic....silly me

8. Right.
It's not even on the list of issues. Those who are focused on this may as well run Poppy bush's Willie Horton commercials. Later for that noise.

2. Not only that--the alcohol makes it a safe beverage when water
is unsafe.

I drank nothing but beer at lunch and dinner for five weeks in China.

4. This is why wine was so popular during Biblical times
and beer was the drink of choice on the Mayflower.

good strong drink! Geesh! The is New Orleans! What's wrong with alcohol all of a sudden? Yea, I know, they just can't steal it!

6. Not only that alcohol can lessen pain if you have been
injured or suffer from arthritis. If you've been wet for that many days, no doubt arthritic and rheumatism pain would be evident, if there were no aspirins or other analgesics available, not to mention alcohol can sterilize wounds as well in the lack of betadine or other bacteria killers.

Besides that once you've been through hell you owe yourself a drink.
