2. Impeachment still doesn't remove him from office. After that, he must
be convicted of something.

Recall is not available for presidents.

3. I'm just an ignorant Canadian, but IS that the same thing?
I ask because I've seen "impeach" used recently wrt the governor from Ohio.

6. It differs by state
Some states have recall, which means that citizens can petition to have a recall election, and others have impeachment, which is like an indictment and is followed by a trial.

4. No recall for federal elected officials, unfortunately
If your state has recall (and not all states do), only state and local officials can be recalled.

This means that we in Minnesota are stuck with Senator Norm Coleman, much as we wish we could recall him.

11. Never has been a congrressional recall election and if one did
occur it would likely be overturned by the federal courts on the same grounds that they overturned state laws regarding US congressional term limits.

7. The people have no power nationally.
It's really as simple as that. I mean, hell, Congress has to impeach itself. You can't tell me there's not something wrong with that.

8. It doesn't work both ways. The control is in their hands.
I would love to recall, but I'll bet if anyone tried to recall Arnold it wouldn't work. It only works for them. Our government is very corrupt.

9. Ironically...
...the ability for the voters to perform a recall of the Governor was added to the California constitution by democrats a few years ago. It's strictly state, and not federal.
