Is the WH press corp taking heat in the street?
Mike Malloy just played clips form today's press briefing with Scott. Some of them were livid. It made me wonder if they're taking heat from people in their own communities, people who might see them out having dinner and such. Since Katrina, if I saw them around town, I would have to be physically restrained from howling at them for how the press corp has coddled the administration and carried its water.

1. Could be
I figured that they were pressured by the Administration and the Pentagon about Iraq and 9-11 since they could be labeled as unpatriotic for speaking out but this is home and the pictures can't be denied or so easily censored.

2. I'd be lobbing verbal rotten tomatoes at them
I'd really like to see them run Scott off his podium. Just make him give up after one verbal exchange and literally run away.

3. If the WH press corp had any balls they should all refuse to show up.
It's not like they're getting any answers anyway. I think the "what if you gave a party and nobody came dilemma" would at least shame the * administration. It would also likely foster more candid interviews, even if they are OTR.

4. 10,000 people dead. The degrees of separation get small.
