What is it with this administration? Are they drunk with profits and tax cuts?

1. Too close to home. They would be able to get back too easily.

2. they can make a military "town" in Iraq
no reason what so ever! temporary housing there, close to the jobs in their own town rebuilding. no place for halliburton. we must demand this. logic must prevail

3. The purpose is to destroy their political unity
A dispersed people cannot speak with one voice or act in their own interest; neither can they have access to their elected officials. For whom do the Mayor of New Orleans and his council act, since the population has been made to go away? The city is controlled by the federal government and the government can control its destiny without worrying about the desires of its populace, whose dispersal means they have been effectively silenced.

5. While I agree with you, I also think that their dispersion will also have
its own effects. Every community in which they land will hopefully get an earful of horror stories of incompetence and malice.

6. It is temporarily a matter of numbers 1 Million displaced...
they had over 250,000 in TX yesterday when FEMA stopped transporting out of state, but thousands continued to poor in. 70,000+ in Ark, 15,000+ in Tennessee. So there are 650,000 people they have to move to safety in the next few days. The surrounding states do not have enough of anything to handle all of the evacuees especially under the constraints they are having to work with.

I will admit they don't know what they are doing at the top and making a mess (acting like people are the enemy or cattle) but the folks who are doing the work are trying mightily to save lives and not let whatever evil plan the BFEEh has in store this time.
