His name was Earl ..he was 92.. He died in New Orleans on Thursday
Tonight my bowling league started, and one of my longtime friends was absent..His teammate told me that he was absolutely heartbroken and may not join for a long while.

Earl was his grandfather who helped his Mom raise him. My friend's mother tried to help him evacuate, but he was blind and too frail to move ..Her car had been stolen the week before. She was retired (74 yrs old) and decided she didn't really need a car anyway.That decision was costly... They decided to just hunker down..

My friend got the call Thursday from a cousin who saw him on tv.. Apparently he was rescued on Thursday and died the same day. There is no news about his mother..she was not seen on TV..

He's been calling everyone and everywhere, and still has no news of her..

3. My friend's father was a veteran (not sure which wars)
owned his home outright, and was NOT on assistance..not was his mother, a retired postal worker..
