Any investigation should NOT be an academic exercise in govermental responsiveness and systems analysis. PEOPLE DIED!!!Thousands of them!!! Those who did not have been displaced from their homes, lost everything! Some will have suffered with their physical health and mental well being. There are children out there who have lost parents--little babies who will never know their mothers or fathers. How many died of hunger and thirst?

the investigation should be completely independent of Congress, conducted by a panel of respected Americans with absolutely no personal stake in its outcome . . . people like Bill Moyers, Gary Hart, etc. . . it shoul NOT be conducted by the Congress . . .
