The Economist, Bush's Former Enablers in UK, Now Scold Over WMD Lies
I don't know whether to laugh or scream. The Economist published two cover stories in half a year making the "case for war." Now they're pretending to have been misled and are tsk-tsking Bush and Blair for being deceitful and exaggerating the dangers of Iraq's WMD program. They are finally acknowledging that the deceit that led to the war may not have been worth all the shattered relationships with allies, the enfeebled UN, not to mention the Mess O' Potamia, as the Daily Show calls it. But no acknowledgment of the role they may have played in egging Bush and Blair on.
