Are there any pluses to Ahnold winning?
I'm not of the belief that an Ahnold governorship has anything to do with the 2004 election, but lets say it did. It's obvious Ahnold is completely unqualified to be governor, let alone of a state as difficult to run as Calif. COuld it be he could make a bigger mess and of the Golden State and all but ensure it to the Dem nominee in Nov?

4. He will only have a two year term at the most
presuming dems don't launch a recall. And if he has a good run, and is what he claims to be, he could strengthen the old rockefeller republicans. Other than that, no.

5. ShortsAreBigger Will be a Disaster for the Repubs
Although they will use him to prevent the $9 billion of Ken Lay's being paid back and he will try to steal the election for W. But other than that, his sexual rape of the girl in the elevator and on and on will destroy the Repubs all over and we will not see an actor run again for a long time.

6. You can mock conservatives with him...
Our local dittohead wannabe, Roger Hedgecock (R-former mayor of San Diego, thrown out on corruption charges, now on radio) recieved a email like this:

'This recall is now a win/win/win for liberals in California. If Davis isn't recalled, a liberal candidate stays in office. If he's recalled and Bustamonte wins, an even more liberal candidate takes over. If he's recalled and Arnold wins, a liberal Republican takes over. No matter what happens, the liberals win.'

Hedgecock was frothing at the mouth over this, he was a McClintock supporter at the time. Since then, the word must have come down from on high that he should support Arnold.

But, whenever some Replutocan starts bragging about Arnold winning, I say 'Thank God, at least we'll still have a liberal in office'. I'm hoping to convince them to vote for McClintock or stay home, which is easier than getting them to vote for Davis or Bustamonte.

7. ooo ooo i got one...
watching him fail and hysterically laughing when he finds out a deficit isnt something he cant blow away with a bazooka.

hes already promised to cut the vechile tax AND other taxes... that wont help the budget situation which is his main platform, i almost want to try to see him turn around the budget just so i can watch him fail. hell everyone is having a hard time cause of BushCo's blundering economic plan, very few states actuially have a decent bank balance these days.

8. Right on.
"watching him fail and hysterically laughing when he finds out a deficit isnt something he cant blow away with a bazooka."

That's what I think will happen. Running a state like California isn't like running Kansas (no offense to Ks. DUers) but it's not for beginners. Lotta stuff to juggle.

10. Hey!! We Live Here!
It might be a lot of fun for everyone else to watch Arnie holds California's head in the toilet while it is getting raped again and again by Enron, but remember, if they can do it to California, they
can do it to everyone!

11. recall!!!
I think the recall is like a drug for the state.

On the radio was talking about how CA has not this
much coverage since the OJ trial.

Any publicity is good publicity.

On TV they said he would get some $$$ from Bush
to improve the economy.

If Arnold is to become the Gov. then a new recall
will happen.

Maybe tourism will pickup.

13. There are no pluses to Arnold winning
Arnold will embrace the Pete Wilson agenda. You can expect more deregulation and you can also expect consumers to get the shaft big time.

Vote for Bustamante!

17. You forgot Wilson's oh-so-stellar record on 'minorities'
Dear Koncerned Ka-lee-for-nee-an:

You've suffered long enough with such stale notions as "diversity" and "compassion" in this great state.

THE PETE WILSON AGENDA IS BACK!
And it's New and Improved!

Join Ah-nold and follow in Governor Pete Wilson's long tradition of... (drumroll) screwing over undocumented aliens!

Best of all, we've got a whole state-full of 'em to abuse this time! If you liked Proposition 187, just wait 'til you get a load of Ah-nold's plan to repatriate the American-born offspring of illegals right back over the Rio Grande! (Don't worry, we've learned our lessons from Prop. 187 well -- thanks to Mr. Bush stacking the courts over the past two years, we're not at all worried about that nasty little "unconstitutional" loophole this time!)

PLUS! ALL-NEW FOR 2003!
Screwing over Native Americans and African-Americans!

And don't forget: As a special thank-you for your vote, Ah-nold will personally see to it that all non-English voter materials are eliminated! (Except for the forthcoming German version, in case Ah-nold himself ever decides to vote again.)

Thank you for your support!

15. Ummmm..........no more Terminator movies?
However, going from movies to a "reality" gig (that's reality as Californians understand it, mind you), is too big of a leap for this work of fiction.

20. The Dems could lock up California if Arnold wins
That's why the White House is laying somewhat low in this whole thing.

If Arnold wins, he inherits the fiscal mess, and with no experience to clean it up. He becomes a laughing stock, turning Californians (who tend to lean a little more to the left) toward the Democrats.

This will happen in NYC too. Bloomberg is not a very popular mayor.

What's happening is the GOP is starting to lose its grip, and will most likely suffer next year.

Now if only the Democrats can take full advantage of this opportunity...

24. There are no pluses
I don't hate Arnold personally and don;'t like the "he's a rapist-nazi" attack lines, but his election might seriously mess us up in 2004, whether you believe it or not. Bush is going to funnel so much money into California that Arnold and the Republicans over there are going to look like heroes. After that, it'll be hard for the Democratic Party to win the state.

25. None at all.
In fact, Californians have a vested interest in keeping Davis in office (at least to finish out his term) so that Bustamante can follow through with his civil suit and possibly get back some of the NINE BILLION DOLLARS the people of California were gouged for by Enron.
