Is there a Corporation evacuation of NO too? Bank / Hi-Rise Photos?
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 08:10 PM by asSEENonTV
I've seen endless photos of the lower-income regions.

How about the rich, high-rise apartments, Smith Barney, Dean witter, Sallie Mae offices?

Are they clearing their offices out?

Are there National Guard teams roaming the floors of the Wells Fargo Bank Building?

Just curious.

1. Good question.
I know of at least one small law firm that's gone out of business, and heard somewhere (NPR, probably) that some companies have already decided to relocate their headquarters to Baton Rouge.

I'm guessing management people managed to evacuate well in advance of Katrina, but lower level employees may not have had the money to go.

3. I'm also curious about
this -- heard that they had some power restored to the rich part of town (the West-something...) and were guarding it for the rich people, so wondering if it's mandatory for them to leave town too??

4. The Westbank
It did not flood & is also not a rich area. Middle to Lower Middle class.

7. Uptown & The Quarter
Old Metairie, English Turn, some parts of Lakefront/Lakeview. Though the Westbank is certainly richer then the 8th/9th Ward and Bywater...
