Re: The "Blame Game"- If not now, then when?
When the whole situation is long forgotten and the trail is cold? I know the first priority is saving lives, but that process is pretty much coming to an end as we're now approaching the 11th day since the storm hit. Let's not get to cozy with the "wait to assign blame" strategy.

1. One of the reasons "blame game" is needed is to FIRE the incompetent NOW,
so that some other disaster that happens tomorrow or next week can be competently managed.

2. The fact the administration
calls it a game speaks loudly. People are suffering and dying. The administration views that as a game?

4. They just liked the fact that 'blame game' rhymes. Rove likes 'catchy'
stuff you know.

7. Oh, sure.
"Perception management." Best countered with short phrases, such as, "How can you call people suffering and dying a game?"

3. Only the killers...
...and accessories after the fact want to whine about the blame game. Crinimals usually try to avoid prosecution, so today's spin is not surprising to me.

6. The junta started the blame game when Americans started asking why
bush* was still on vacation, eating cake, playing guitar, going to fundraisers while the water level was STILL going up and people were drowning in NOLA. They blamed the Gov, the Mayor, the poor without transportation, anybody they could think of. The Blame Game is how BUSHCO operates. But they cry foul when the fingers point back at them.

They started the Blame Game but reporters in NOLA showed America the real situation. No hiding from the truth when it broadcast into living rooms across America.

So now they bring in lots of guns and tell reporters 'no pictures'.

These guys are the worst of the Nazis and the worst of the old Soviet Communists.

And how about China managing to evacuate 750,000 people from typhoon flooding with, what, less than a dozen fatalities? Can we have some more about the guy who pulled THAT off? Maybe we should outsource the job of FEMA director to a Chinese fellow who understands the merit of being on the job!

8. IMO we ignore the 'Blame Game" spin and keep up the
critical assessment of this administrations failure protect it's citizens in harms way. We need to keep the media on our side and people continuing to speak about this failure.

9. Screw it, only a small minority are helping. The rest of us can evaluate.
Frankly, the screaming and blaming is all that's gotten the feds to do job one.
