is there any way these dates could make sense?

Whoever owns it probably has an account with that domain registrar for multiple websites and that's when they last updated their account info.

The "Date Record Created: 02-Sep-2005" is the date THIS domain name was registered.

EDIT: Clinton's office is up on 125th St.

and I have one account with the registrar with all the various domain names on it.

The only date that pertains to THAT domain name is the 02-Sep-2005 (registered on 9/2/05, expires on 9/2/06).

But you'll not convince the gaggle of fools who will be citing this piece of information for the next twenty years as proof of an infernal weather machine...:eyes:

I open an account at the local bank... in June 2005. I then open up a second account (Account B) on 02-Sep-2005.

Someone pulls up a screen on the bank computer about my Account B and it says "Account B opened on 02-Sep-2005" .... then down at the bottom it says something like "Customer since June 2005" or something along those lines. That's all that date at the bottom is.

I'm sure Clinton's got other websites for charities or organizations he runs. It's easier to just have an account with a domain registration service so you have a user name and password and can just login and manage all of your domains.

CORRECTION: Sorry, that date at the bottom is when they last updated their account info (address, tel no, address) which affects all of their accounts. The next time they change any info, that date will change.

How is everything?

Back in Missouri on the family plot. Gonna try to go to work tomorrow at my old job. Gotta go buy work stuff later but some local paper guy is coming out here in about 30 minutes to talk to me.

Physically I'm pretty good except for a wrenched back and some intestinal uproar. Mentally, I'm kind of shaky. Sort of waver between anger, sadness and depression and I wake up full of anxiety. Keep having storm dreams too. That didn't happen while I was still in Mississippi. Just since I've been back.

Why is there nothing there? wouldn;t the Bush-Clinton fund already have a site up there?

I went to the main page (not the actual IP #) http://www.bushclintonkatrinafund.org and then did right-click, then properties. They have it set up so that when a person types in "http://www.bushclintonkatrinafund.org" it actually points to THIS URL:

(spaces intentionally inserted with above URL because it was displaying a graphic file and not the text of the URL)

It looks like all the webfiles are in a subfolder called "clientuploads".

A couple of days ago I registered 4 new domain names, I just went and checked and they all say the same "Data as of" date as Bush Clinton Katrina Fund's info. I haven't checked my older ones to see if the same as well.

I'm not tech savy enough to know why but my guess is something to do with a database perhaps.

If you have one account to manage all the domain names, that date at the bottom may change if you update any info (your address, tel no, etc) that affects all of the accounts.

The date you registered each domain won't change, only the expiration date will if you renew for additional years.

Thanks :) ... yes, I have one account and I know the dates I registered them won't change until I renew them. Just recently I updated my older domain names to reflect a change of address and phone but it was done after the June "data" date. I'll have to check to see how that data date changes and if it's the same on all my domain names both before and after the move. It has me a bit curious now especially since it's the exact same as the Bush Clinton one. 8) I just figured it was the date when the internic data base was last updated.
