Those bodies were once someones precious children!
Is it just me, but is anyone else enraged by the bodies floating in water and lying strewn around like so much trash???!!!

Those bodies are NOT trash!!!

They were once someones precious children!!!

They lived, they loved, they laughed, they had family who loved them!

Why are we allowing them to be dishonored this way???!!!

Where is the public outrage???!!!

Why are those bodies STILL there over a WEEK later???!!!

6. The Living Rightly Come First
I would much rather have my family members and friends rescued alive than as pretty corpses delivered to me for burial, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way.

18. There is thats just a way to spin away their neglect
Cities, states, private people, and countries are offering help or just showing up to help.

The decision to ignore these dead bodies is a conscience one.

Besides, I see the everybody driving/boating right by the bodies on their way to EVICT people that are not dying. They just want them to get out of their houses.

8. It's Very Dangerous There
The bacteria load in the water makes even a small cut on the foot or leg dangerous to a healthy, young person let alone an elderly one or one with a chronic disease like diabetes. The mold presents a serious respiratory tract problem. These are just two reasons why people need to be removed from the flooded areas.

Putting living people in the same crafts that are carrying corpses is neither physically nor psychologically practically once you think about it for a moment. There are a limited number of water craft; the first task is removing the living. Then the dead can be removed.

Those are my brothers & sisters, father & mother, sons & daughters that are being left in the street as if they were discarded garbage. I am outraged.

16. Nobody is saying that both need to be in the same boats
The fact is, as the RICHEST NATION ON EARTH, we should be able to rescue the living AND retrieve the dead, at the same time.

It is two different operations, done by two different types of professionals.

For Goodness sake, just because the Pretzeldent can't walk and chew gum at the same time, doesn't mean that FEMA shouldn't be able to do two tasks at the same time.

21. If they are thinking like you are...
then all the more reason to get lots more people in there to remove and refrigerate the dead.
Because it is dangerous.... laughable, leaving bodies lying around in the sun make it more dangerous. Unless these are inexperienced Boy Scouts doing the job and not professionals.

19. But they haven't been doing much to rescue the living - they're too busy
"maintaining law and order" and keeping rescue teams out of the city and surrounding area. Thousands have likely died over the past week - the rescue effort has been mind-bogglingly slow.

22. Maybe they should use some of the people
Who hampering the effort or those working on PR. they can use civilian volunteers to pass out FEMA's phone number, freeing up more professionals who quitting and going home because they won't give them constructive and meaningful task.

7. Like victims of a lynching
My partner pointed out the photos are like the ones from earlier in the past century, where lynching victims were left for days as a warning to others.

I think we all get the message loud and clear.

A number of Billy Holiday's songs have been running through my head this week. Strange Fruit is one that just keeps coming back.

15. Living must be taken care of first...but
given the piss poor response by georgie and his flunkies, it's a disgrace.

I believe the recovery of the bodies would have been taken care of days ago were it not for the complete disregard and ignorance by these people.
