I think gas prices are starting to affect air fares.

On the Sunday before Katrina really hit, I booked flights for me and my husband from Seattle to Las Vegas. About a week later, when gas prices were climbing through the ceiling, I checked the exact same flight times, and the price was the same. Just checked again and the round trip flight I booked for $198 a person is now $264 per person.

I know that air fares are the least of the worries for many many people, but just wanted to pass this info along, because I know many DUers are going to be flying, either by choice or necessity. Hang on to your wallets, folks!
