Were McKinney's/Paul's comments in the news at all?
Like many DUers, I watched on C-SPAN as Cynthia McKinney eloquently ripped into the Bush administration about its response to Hurricane Katrina. She was fantastic. Then, I was shocked to see Ron Paul, a Republican (yes, everyone says he's a Libertarian, but he did have an "R" next to his name) rip into the Bush administration about the Iraq and other wars--even calling them "neocons."

I thought for sure I'd see it somewhere on TV or in the newspaper, but didn't. Has anyone seen anything about it anywhere? Just wondered....

4. I just did a search in Yahoo news and nothing. I'm not surprised. Both
have given excellent speeches before and they go on being ignored. Many posters yesterday had no idea who Ron Paul was.

5. It's so frustrating
Many times I'll tell my family or friends something really important that has taken place and they've never heard about it because they only watch the main TV stations and read their local newspaper. They're always incredulous and say, "Why isn't it on the news then?"

If it wasn't for the Internet, I'd be in the dark too. I think that this (Internet, blogs, newsgroups, etc.) is what is ultimately going to save us in the end--if they don't somehow get shut down! Now, that would be a real blow to truthseekers everywhere.

6. Ron Paul gets zero coverage. McKinney gets scorn.
Ron Paul is the only conservative I know of that the MSM will not touch with a 10 foot pole.

While I find some of his positions to be deplorable, he has been the single most vocal anti-bush member of the house- bar none.
