The links below are to pics are NSFW (not safe for work). They show the bodies of people who perished due to the hurricane and it flooding/chaos that followed. A few links are provided here due to the fact that DU is traffic heavy ATM. If you don't get angry after looking at these, then none of us can help you.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I didn't say this earlier. This site is ogrish.com. Chances are your company/school/university has this site blocked if you are running on a corporate network. Please don't click on this link if you are unsure if you are allowed to be viewing this stuff. I don't want any of you guys to get into trouble. Sorry for not noting that earlier. This site is by "sickies"/for "sickies" but at least they don't censor their images. The truth is sometimes sickening.

4. Pelosi, Durbin and Reid need copies
They need to show exactly what this adminstration's screw ups led to. They need to tell america "Blame Game? The WHITE HOUSE DARES call this a game? This is no game, this is a direct result of this administration's policies on a whole range of issues. Mr. McClellan, this is no GAME. This is life and death."

11. cookies
you must have a cookie on your machine with your location on it. It could have picked it up when you got driving directions, or put your zip into a shopping site for shipping, etc.

You would be horrified to know that online advertising companies have a "file" on every single one of us with lists of sites we visited and tons of personal information.

Nothing online is truly private. Nothing.

13. its not even cookies
they can tell by your IP address. Your IP address is much like your phone number. Each set of digits signifies where ou are on the "Internet" (more accurately, who your ISP is) much like the area code signifies what area you are in. Chances are they are not reading it off any cookies or other files. Don't be scared because it is info that has to be given out in order to use the web. The server needs to know where to send the files when your computer asks for it.

19. Well, I don't know the motives of this site
but they do show images that won't be shown by any "mass" media. Their motives, however, are not the point. The pictures are the point. Life is delicate yet so important, and these images of Katrina victims remind me that. Many of these people died because our country and its leaders turned a blind eye to a very serious and very real problem until it was much too late.
