A: The President is going to lead effort to investigate the response to Katrina. In a lot of areas there was a good response. Its the worst national disasters in our nation's history. We must look at the lessons and fully prepare for any attack on our nations including WMD or diseases.

Constructive criticism is good, political talk isn't.

I'm sick and tired of hearing him talk about how we need to make sure all the resources are put in place to help people. Those resources needed to be in place when the hurricane hit - and trying to hide behind a couple of newspaper headlines is an absolutely irresponsible response.

Someone needs to ask Scottie: "When can we expect the President to address why he did not offer assistance to the City of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana when Mayor begged for help as the levees broke?"

As Hurricane Katrina moves further onshore in the Gulf of Mexico, the squall has been downgraded it to a Category 2 storm, sparing New Orleans the total devastation that was predicted for the city but still causing a number of major disruptions and concerns.

McPaper and he thought that. Wouldn't there still need to be a lot of boots on the ground clearing up the mess, and not just in New Orleans? As horrible as the levee breach has been, it's not the only problem left behind by Katrina. Why has the rescue response been so pitiful in Mississippi? Biloxi got creamed and Waveland is flat-out gone. They sure as hell didn't dodge any bullets -- why has the response been so slow?

for 4 or 5 days after katrina made landfall?

Scotty keeps referring to "Chertof is the Director of Homeland Security and everyone answers to him" heard it a couple of times.
