Do you believe reporters have a duty to report on deaths?

2. Absolutely!
This is a ploy by the administration to cover up their gross incompetence. These images should be seared into the brains of all Americans and they must come back to haunt us every time we enter a voting booth!

4. Umm...freedom of the press, free speech, free country, etc. etc....
Hell yes! They have the right and a duty to report news that Americans want and should know.

7. We have not just a right
but a need to know.
You should not, ideally show recognizable corpses, but an accurate accounting, and an eventually roll of the victims is the minimum a free press should do for its readership.

12. Deaths and their causes
Throwing out the press insures that we will not have any evidence of those who died after the storm and after the flooding in contexts which reveal the negligence of our government.

15. Yep....
...A young girl runs from her village screaming from the pain of burning napalm....a police chief summarily executes a bound "suspected" Viet Cong....A young girl kneels and mourns over the body of a university student....REAL photos can change the "REAL" world...If you are currently in power in this country your nightmares are all inhabited by photographers.

17. Absolutely. It's a duty. Photos don't have to show faces. But the media
must act in a way to hold the government accountable.
