"We finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans....."
"We finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans. We couldn't do it, but God did."

- Representative Richard Baker (R-LA) as overhead in a conversation with lobbyists.

He went on to say that all he meant was that he's been trying to improve public housing for a long time! (Sure, and I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell).

But what I really want to know is: why the hell is he meanting with lobbyists at a time like this? As a Congressman representing Louisiana, I'm sure he's got more pressing issues that need his attention.

4. Good God, these people know no shame, they say any racist, hateful, disgusting
thing that pops into their warped and greedy minds.

This,Babs comments about how the underprivileged are doing just fine in their dome, poppy's comments about not hearing the people on the roofs complaining, and now Tom Delay asking some victims if this isn't kind of fun.

Add to that list Chimpy saying nobody thought the levees would break despite being on a 2001 FEMA report as the 2nd most likely tragedy to occur and you have a chorus of incompetent, callous, racist pigs and it is time to storm the palace.

5. "Money talks, and bullshit walks." - Danny DeVito
Money talks. Those lobbyists probably bankrolled his political campaign, and he is probably paying them back the favor he owes them. This is how special interest money works.
