Congratulations to coach Solich who got royally shafted by the bugeaters of nebraska.FYI bugeaters was one of the early,early original nicknames for the Nebraska football program like pre 20th cent. Personally I've always wished they would have kept it.

10. New name for Nebrasks: "The Felons"

They never quite won that natoinal championship because they wouldn't cheat in THE major way, recruit sociopaths. Then, old what's his name (now Cong. Whatshisname) went and recruited a bunch of thugs, who did their thuggish thing to their fellow students, and he won. Either name works for me. My alma mater tried to go big time in football but the surroundings were so relaxing and beautiful, the recruits all became stoners and went to the beach. At least they didn't attack their fellow students.

8. I forgot about Stroud's Run!

How could I have? Many a good time there....

When I went to OU in the early 80s, it still had the feel of the 60s throughout town. Some people just never left. Love it better than any small town in the world.

I had to go back and take one class in winter quarter of 81.

The monument? The Frontier Room w/ $.75 Elephant Malts ......
The Rugby Team, the girls, and friends that last a life time.

Watching the sun come up on saturday morning w/ my buddies
still partying on a front porch ....... My 11 year son asks about
OU but I don't tell him everything. :rofl:
