and would love more than anything to see him in the White House, but Hillary has the advantage of reminding all the non-wealthy people that they were doing much better while a Clinton was in the White House ... so why not another one?

How about Hillary for pres and Dean for VP? (or Hillary with Gore as VP)

And the BBV and courts are still a problem, only worse after the Supremes get the BUSHCO treatment.

Job 2 = Hold media accountable for spinning to a particular party and force fairness doctrine and put liars like Rush out on their asses.

Job 3 = Get more of the American public educated and involved in political decisions. Help your neighbors see that some things just have to be faced and we do it better together as a people. Waiting for someone to do something is not how democracy works. That someone is and always will be We the People. Get schools to teach government/civics as requirements again.

Unfortunately, if the cheats "win" again, another civil war would be justified.

Many a folk are looking back with longing at the Clinton years of prosperity and GOP whining about sex instead of well, gay sex.

He began his campaign one month after the attempted impeachment of Clinton ended.

He started out 20 points behind Smirk.

He was outspent nearly 2 to 1.

He had the most hostile press coverage in modern history.

He had almost no support from the Democratic party.

Despite all that, he won.

I just love that man!

Clinton has no chance whatsoever in my opinion.

He means what he says and says what he means.

He's forbidden to be elected again, but the Constitution is silent on the matter of his replacing an incapacitated President. As far as I know, there's no prohibition against his placement as veep on a ticket.

constitutional qualifications as the President? Meaning, the VP must be eligible to be POTUS?

Amendment 12 forbids someone ineligible for POTUS to become Vice President.

If I am strictly limited to those two, then it's Gore; otherwise, I may as well look at third party candidates again.

I'd love a Hillary presidency eventually, but the next one belongs to Gore.

I would feel safe and secure in this country with him as president - I miss that feeling. (It's been so rare, now that I think about it) And I think he'd handle the Rethug smear machine very well.

And of the two choices given, I'd go for Gore.

Gore, hands down. I dont think we stand a prayer of him putting himself through it again though.

quite literally, Al Gore was right about everything he said versus Bush in the debates.

Bush, consequently has led the country in to ruin and devistation - we are now the laughingstock of the world community.

Al Gore can be the political Rocky. People love a comeback and if you were PROVEN right by history, you can do it.

Pretty hard to sell "Al Gore is a liar" now isn't it?

Let the man take his rightful place.

Seeing him concede was one of the saddest moments of my life. He was so wise and gracious.

He deserves to assume the office that he won by the majority vote of the American people and his true victory in the electoral college.

and whomever he would select as running mate. I doubt Gore would accept an offer to run as VP, and I hope it wouldn't be Hillary. This is nothing against either Gore or Clinton - but I want a winning ticket, with a candidate I would be glad to vote for, not one I grudgingly vote for because I would never vote Repub.

I admire Clark, I think he would be a great leader, and has a chance of uniting the nation more fully than it has been in years. Hillary does not have that option - she is too fully hated by the Right. Gore is a good man, but I don't think he has what it takes to energize people. He comes across as wooden and wonkish.

Would love a combo of Clark and Boxer.

However, I'd much rather seek a third option.

we gotta get more of them in there, not run one again who has too much of a record to work against them in a campaign.

Even one or two of them would help...

The man was cheated out of the presidency by one of the most immoral men in history. It makes me so upset to think how our world would be different if we had our real president.

Definitley Al! While I like Hillary I don't think it's her time. We need someone very progressive to clean up after all of this mess! Hillary isn't quite so progressive.

He made two mistakes in 2000: he let himself get handled by dipshits (that went on to handle Kerry), and he picked Lieberman as a running mate. Subtract those two things from the equation, and whoa nelly!

Gore/Clark 2008. Visualize it!

I'm not convinced at all that my vote will actually be counted, but I will go through the motions for Gore.

Frankly, I think Al Gore would have by the far the strongest possibility of winning -- also he has positioned himself more with progressive forces while Hillary seems to be doing the opposite

would be a great ticket. Together they would bring a wealth of needed experience in many areas; environmental, military, diplomacy, etc.

Al Gore, hands down the most electable Democrat in the Nation and a man who does honor to his country every day he breaths.

He was right about pretty much everything he predicted, and correctly warned the country about what Republican rule would mean. Bush, Inc. (and the Republican media) have been wrong about everything. At this point, I can't imagine a candidate more likely to get elected.

I remember immediately after 9/11 when all my Texas buddies were thanking God daily that Bush was the pres instead of Gore. They would sayNow aren't you glad Bush won?" I would reply, of course, that 9/11 would not have happened under Gore. They looked at me like I was crazy. Now, five years later, as Bush has climbed to staggering new levels of incompetence, they are not so sure.

Unlike Hillary. I held my nose and voted for Gore in '00. Something I won't do if Hillary or some of the other pro-war Dems should be nominated.
