has anyone heard bush claim his post as COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF through any of
this NO hurricane KATRINA relief effort?

All as i have heard is him talk aboutFEMA and States and local governments but not a peep as to how he is THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF in charge of these U.S.A.

he never takes charge for pulling up his pants whenever he's dropped shit around.

3. Outstanding Observation
It has always been Bush's vain-glorious title of choice; "Commander in Chief". It doesn't refer to running the country though, it refers to being the top of the chain of command of our military.

The rich pimp from Texas who did all in his power to avoid defending the country when he was a young man and continues in his juvinile ways, but he likes the title when it suits. You'll see it again, when Iran is squarely in his sights.

5. no he hasn't -- and I've been nagging about this
Where was the military?

There was a good editorial that included the fact that ONLY the Prez could order the military into action and that order never came or came so late that the order is worthless.

A real man and a real leader would have called on the military to put everything they had to rescue the victims -- as it is thousands died that should have survived.

He is supposed to be the commander in chief -- but he conveyed absolutely no sense of urgency to the military.

He could have cut through red tape -- the military would have responded and have been fucking damned glad to be of help. I KNOW because I'm a military brat -- I have so many memories of my father going out and helping to rescue people during floods and other natural disasters throughout his career in the Navy. This happened under both Republican & Democratic Presidents. My father served under six Presidents managed to figure out how to use the military during Natural disaster.

There was one flood when I was very young -- and I remember my father telling us that the Navy had used every piece of equipment on base that could be used to get people off of roofs. There is extreme satisfaction among the men after this sort of community service.

Yet the military was mostly under used -- I've been keeping all articles I can find on the use of the military. The coast guard did respond early and they were in the air doing roof top rescues -- but there was nothing on the ground for the people they rescued -- so rescued people died because of NO coordination on the ground.

Bushie was a big fat ZERO -- he gets an "F" as commander in chief. He is a danger to the nation. And at this point only the Republicans can fire him. But all they want to do is protect him. Meanwhile bodies are STILL floating and STILL unburied and many are unidentified in the U.S. of A. Just like what we'd expect to see in a third world country.

But then what can we expect from a drunk?
