The co-Incidences are real; is this the hand of those who hired BushCo in the first place? Disasters have happened in the past; le$$on$ were learned. It is hard not to see a property grab here.

Solidarity.

1. Could you be meaning the Trent Lottster's front porch?
So many Republican porches to re-build.

So many rivers to cross.

2. Shrub's remark was about Sen. Trent Lott of MS. not DeLay.
Although, I'm sure he would say wonderful things about DeLay too if given the chance.

5. Speaking of DeLay
Where does he stand on the charges against him? You don't see his name mentioned very often and I've lost track. I thought Santorum was also being charged, or do I have the wrong person?

Which also reminds me...when does Ken Lay go to court?

Two or three months ago, I saw a list of * acquaintances who were being/had been charged with fraud and/or crimes of some sort. I would bet that list has grown, considerably.

Texas groups linked to DeLay indicted in scandal

By Erwin Seba 1 hour, 59 minutes ago

HOUSTON (Reuters) - A Texas grand jury has indicted a political action committee formed by U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay

The indictments, five in all, accuse Texans for a Republican Majority, or TRMPAC, and the Texas Association of Business (TAB) of illegally funneling corporate donations into a 2002 campaign to win control of the Texas Legislature. DeLay helped create the committee, but he has not been charged with any wrongdoing, and has said he was not involved in TRMPAC's daily operations. A statement from his office on Thursday said he met with Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle last week and explained his limited role in the committee. "Today's announcement is limited to a political organization and does not affect Mr. DeLay," the statement said.
Three men with close ties to DeLay were indicted last year for illegal fund-raising activities by TRMPAC.

In a civil case earlier this year, a Texas judge found that TRMPAC did not disclose nearly $600,000 it received from corporations.
Texas law forbids the use of corporate donations in political campaigns. Earle has said DeLay is under investigation and a spokesman for him said on Thursday the investigation into illegal campaign finances continues. In a statement, Earle said, "All five of these indictments involve the misuse of corporate money to influence Texas elections in 2002."

9. DeLays PAC was charged juat last Thur or Fri with f indictments
by a TX GJ. I didn't see anything about how they will handle that, because you can't just charge an entity! Usually, a business is charged, and it's leaders have to stand trial, so we'll see.

So far DeLay has managed to escape the law, but I suspect that might still be coming!

Ken Lay's trial I think is scheduled for Dec.

As to a list of Shrub's associates who are under investigation or charged with crimes...I don't think any DUers have thhe time to put together a list that long!!!!!

i can assure you that trent lott did not wish for katrina to destroy his beautiful home in order to have an insurer replace it with a new, less historic home
