Anybody talked to Mehlman or blacks about how NO affects GOP image
with African Americans?

I seemed to recall Mehlman going as far as admitting the Southern strategy existed, apologizing, and vowing to do more to make the GOP amenable to blacks.

It seems like the White House just flushed all that down the toilet.

1. he doesn't talk to people, he talks at people. From a Rovian script.
All those talking points they tested last week (Blame Game, pointing fingers) were before lily white conservative audiences.

The White House does not yet realize just how badly they have misplayed this race card. Blacks are not dumb, they are not following the Big White Messiah to the promised land, they do not swallow the lame excuses and lies they are experiencing with their very lives. Neither are whites or hispanics, come to think of it.

2. What we saw last week WAS the GOP's Southern Strategy
in all its malignant glory...

So Kloeset Kase Ken publicly apologized...but is he going to lead an effort to renounce folks like Haley Barbour and the C of CC?
