In Bush America is it now considered Normal to Lie on a Resume and in

fact to have NO QUALIFICATIONS whatsoever for ANY job one seeks? Does it mean that only having friends in high places qualifies one to employement at all?

How is it that this is now considered normal? Why hasn't Brown been fired on the spot for lying? Where was the background check on this guy by the FBI. Does our government no longer require any background checks if a Repug donor says you are Okay then you get the job.

Where is the national outrage. Do folks out there even realize he lied and had absolutely no experience and that FEMA was replaced with totally unqualified people? Is Chertoff even qualified as Homeland Security Director to oversee FEMA? What about Chertoff's Number 2...is that person qualified?

What the hell has happened to this country. Why don't we all give ourselves Ph.D's and M.D.'s and go our and get jobs we aren't qualified for, too? Who cares today. Maybe we could bribe folks to give us a job, too. Maybe take out a loan and give a check to the next person who interviews you for a job. Just put it in a little card and slip it into their hand.

The person in charge always wants/NEEDS a bunch of loyal toadies to do his bidding and to protect his flanks.. The best way to get these folks in line is to make sure they have FABULOUS jobs that they would be loathe to lose.. Qualifications are no problem if the very people who have to vet these appointments, are themselves toadies..

Who's to say Brownie ever even filled out an application? These types of positions are handed out like party favors..to special pals..... no resume required...a *² toady may have been the one to embellish his background so that the ones in congress who had to "approve" him were super-impressed..:puke:

Many people have encouraged me to lie on my resume. I refuse to do it. I guess that's why I've been unemployed for so damn long, most people are lying on their resumes.

"Fake Up" and YOU TOO can make millions. As long as you are one of the DC Insider Cronies or went to school at Yale, Harvard or Stanford...and maybe the "next tier" of Crooks and Criminals.

Not to have DU'ers think I'm bragging ..but I was at Yale working in Epidemiology and Public Health while my SO was in Med School when ALL OF THE BUSH THUGS WERE THERE!!

This is TRUE...and I walked on the same New Haven sidwalks with them and I walked through the Yale Campus among the biggest Thugs in America..and I remember when Gary Trudeau of Doonsbury was writing for the "Yalie Daily News" and I was there...but was NOT OF THEM...if you get my drift..

and it is my suspicion that many in America, because of the ultra competitive job market, "pad" their resumes. I hate to think they lie but I'm afraid many do. However, the gross lies on Brown's resume are outrageous and should not be tolerated, especially from a high ranking supposedly trustworthy government official.
