You're right, he is getting used lately as the R counter, and another equally low-level, nobody drone that looks a little like Kingston (on xfire I think?). I interpret this to mean the R bosses see the perilous risk in attacking Wilson and playing the 'just partisan politics' card, so few R heavies want to walk too far out on that plank. So, send out expendable pawns to test the minefield, to stall the onslaught, while the varsity waits to see where and how many booby traps are laid out for them. Kingston is just one of the boobs.

His betters know the danger of getting pinned down in the wrong position when the stakes are mortal, as in this. Clinton taught them they're better off being cautious. Only a few, like Sen McConnell are risking becoming another Newt/Livingston over this. Fine; good riddance, Mitch.
