Please explain this to me (regarding Arnold)
The GOP says that Bill Clinton is a very very bad, immoral man who chases skirts and smokes pot.
The GOP says that Arnold is a very very good man who chases skirts, pops steroids, and admires Hitler and anyone in power.
Can someone please explain this to me? Am I in a twilight zone?
On a serious note, I am BEYOND disgusted with Arnold. I'm still trying to focus on that the recall itself should have never occured, but the more and more I read about Arnold's character, I can't help but feel somehow...violated about the GOP having the fing BALLS to defend Arnold despite him being a near violent sexual harasser and drug user. Top it all off with the Hitler shit, and this becomes simple MINDBOGGLING to me.
Seriously, I cannot grasp this. It's like my brain tries to understand how the GOP can defend him, but then it just short circuits.
Folks, things are truly beyond reason now....

He's running as a Republican, and Republicans can do no wrong. They are moral, outstanding citizens.

All they have to do is scream "partisan attacks by Dems" and the media jumps

Note: First part was sarcasm

23. Republicans care about one thing only:
Personal power.

Once you understand this, everything they do makes sense.

5. When, as your name, suggests...
Democrats get their act together, organize and start working to win elections. California is a good example of the compromises that the pubs are willing to make in order to put themselves in power. We can cry about their hypocricy all the day long, but in the end they "win" elections while we kill ourselves in the name of ideological purity.

7. It started with the opulent minority.
Madison warned of them as the constitution was being written,

from then to now it has always been the rich & powerful struggling to

keep enough people fooled enough of the time to stay in power and keep

democracy at bay. At last they own enough of the machines that count

the votes so that fooling enough people is no longer even required.

It is difficult to imagine what could get America back on the road to

democracy & civilization but it is not hard to imagine how long or how

ulgy it might be.

The RepuKKKes only care about their big money puppetmasters. Morality is just something to use.

6. Finally reveals that they didn't hate those things (heck bush was some
of those things.) They just hated that he was a Democrat (and hate all democrats) - and were perfecting the propoganda smears and marketing techniques to come up with ways of selling their hatred to the mainstream (ie package it in terms of the womanizing, infidelity, pot smoking, etc.) It is only immoral and not excusable if it is a democrat.

8. its amazing
that so many Republicans appear to be completely ammoral when it comes to scoring points.

With all the recourses that were thrown behind bringing down Bill for concensual sex ( so unimportant !)and the evil scandals being uncovered now... Republicanism really needs a medical cure.

10. Word
I was 13 when "Monica Gate" occured, yet I knew even then in youth that the moral "outrage" by the Republicans was so fake in nature. How many of THEM have had conscensual (or not consentual) affairs with interns or other women?
Morality...they do not care about morality. They practice "do what I say, not what I do".
Bloody hypocrits, the lot of them.

11. The moneyed class is amoral. So, no problemo with Arnieoh
The people who own most of the wealth and have the most clout are totally amoral (how many examples do you need?). They are driven by greed and power only.

Same as in Nazi Germany.

18. Exactly.
Clinton's penis renders them no longer responsible for their own behavior. It also relinquishes them of any requirements for character traits such as honor and integrity.

It is so fine tuned that it only target Republicans.

That's one mighty powerful penis. I think it should be studied and bronzed when the Big Dog passes. I'm serious.

17. There is no explanation.
Sometimes I think we're living in a Vonnegut novel.

2,500 years ago Plato said democracy would always ultimately fail because you have to pander to the lowest common denominator.

Could we be witnessing...

22. First off repukes are hyprocrites
with them it is always "do as I say, not do as I do". Second and most important of all is that there are two standards, one for Democrats who have to have morals and live up to them or suffer the consequences and the repuke standard which is that they can do and say anything and get away with it. :argh:  :grr:
