Harvard Prof: Dubya called Grapes of Wrath a "commie" movie
President George W. Bush was introduced to the film "The Grapes of Wrath" as a student at the Harvard Business School, where he got admitted on his family's name. "I wanted to give the class a visual reference for poverty and a sense of historical empathy," macroeconomics professor Yoshi Tsurumi told a researcher for Kitty Kelley's book, "The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty."

"George Bush came up to me and said, 'Why are you going to show us that commie movie?'" Tsurumi recalled. "I laughed because I thought he was kidding, but he wasn't. After we viewed the film, I called on him to discuss the Depression and how he thought it affected people. Bush said, 'Look, people are poor because they are lazy.' A number of students pounced on him and demanded that he support his statement with facts and statistics. He quickly backed down because he could not sustain his broadside."

The incident and a semester of exposure burned into Tsurumi's memory a disturbing view of the future president. "His strong prejudices soon set him apart.... Most business students are conservative, but they are not inhumane or unprincipled. George Bush came across as totally lacking compassion, with no sense of history, completely devoid of social responsibility and unconcerned with the welfare of others."

I knew the dumb ass fuckwad had said that people were poor because they were lazy, but I hadn't heard before about him calling the filmed version of Grapes of Wrath a "commie" movie. It is so totally mind boggling that such an ignoramus and uncompassionate, self-centred ahole (there is not a scrap of evidence that his fundamental attitudes changed after he allegedly became "born again") could become a president of the USA. It just goes to show the power of the media propaganda that this looser could be made into presidential material in the eyes of 50% of the US population.

Apparently making a silk purse out of a sow's ear (something my mother once assured me could never be done) is easy, once you have enough money and enough of the corrupt, corporately controlled media in your back pocket.

2. And it fell on a lot of deaf ears. The evidence, and I do mean evidence,
that bush** was a worthless, lazy, ignorant, crass and uncouth son-of-a-bitch (literally) was out there for all to see.

4. Ayuh,,, and swept under the rug with his drinking, drugging, and womanizin
as "youthful indiscretions".

But face it. A dry drunk does not mature as he ages unless he works at it.

That's right, W, it works if you work it and son, you ain't been workin' it!

Emotionally stunted, mentally incapicated and running the free world. All because of his name and bank account.

I HATE the way politics 'works' in this country.

15. while drunk he danced naked on a bar
while in college...when he went for the potus job, his handlers searched out any pics of the bushdance....every goddam one was tracked and destroyed..
bush once, while drunk, crashed his car a block from home, and rolled down the street like a carpet.....lol! all this recounted in verifiable detail in james hatfield's 'fortunate son'
the truth about bush, his crimes etc and his exposure to blackmail from enemies says that the US pigmedia have committed a very real crime here...and it's ALL ONE CRIME ie treason!

3. Let's See The Freepers Refute These Facts
To do so they might have to remove Bush's MBA from his resume.

Might be a problem since they relish the "CEO President" mythology.

5.  his mother is still a profound influence on
her little boy. she still has to go out and try to rescue him from his follies.a 59 year old man still has to have his mother cover-up his/her lack of humanity and of course, she only made matters worse.

8. I am still stymied at the number of people who
allowed themselves to be played for fools when this poor specimen of a human being was running for president. The devious Republicans sold a tin god to them. Shrub is a figurehead who gets to reside in the People's House, speak in cliches while leaning on the lectern, fly onto an aircraft carrier in military gear, say "Mission Accomplished" as if he knew what the hell he was doing. These voters got a three-for-one CIC; Presidents Cheney and Rove pulling the strings of a puppet. Maybe some have awakened, but not many. Many know they have been gulled into voting for him, but surely will never admit it. They are responsible for the mess we are in.

ignorant asshole is concerned. The people in the Bush family are mentally ill.

the man he is describing is President of the United States and "Leader of the Free World" . . . and he has consistently lived up (or down) to his professor's assessment . . .

beyond scary . . .

14. yet another blast from the bubble
There's undoubtably thousands of more stories just like this out there. Is this surprising? Do we need more evidence that &??"!$ bush is an idiot without conscience?
These truths about this scum weren't widely reported when it mattered. What will it take for this country - repugs included - to wake up to this disaster of a sub-human being.

hasn't changed. Just ask the folks who were stranded in the Superdome last week.
