Arnold vs Mike Tyson
Edited on Sat Oct-04-03 10:26 PM by CatWoman
I remember when Mike Tyson was accused of rape. I was living in Indianapolis at the time, and stayed abreast of the news.

He came to town during Black Expo (a yearly celebration), and was to be a judge at the beauty pagent. As a black woman, I was deeply offended by Mike's behavior. He would pull his pants down in front of women, exposing his privates, while yelling "don't you want some of this".

He also grabbed and groped and felt up and rammed his tongue down women's throats.

His behavior was absolutely revolting, and he continues to pay for his boorishness.

I'm not saying that Arnold raped anyone, but I hope the same happens to him. I hope someone presses charges, and he has to answer to his disrepecting behavior publically. There's no excuse for disrepecting anyone's space just because you're a celebrity.

He has to pay the price for all the harm he's done.

1. Maybe now the PuKKKes will replace CrashcartCheney with El Rusho at VP
Limbaugh's struggle with "hillbilly heroin" now gives him the gravitas to vie for high office.
Then too, maybe they want to lower the standard enough so that Newt can run again.
It's like mass sociopathism of some sort. Hypocrisy doesn't bother them at all. It's just another weapon to them, their favorite clever trick. Basically they are criminals that god relentlessly forgives so it all works out in the end for them.

I can't tell you how appalled I am at the hypocrisy of it all.

3. I don't think he will.
He probably has more money than Mike. And the judicial system is this country are very favorable to rich white men.

I hear you, though. Arnold needs to face jail terms. Just like Bush. Just like Rumsfeld. Just like... ah you get the point.

So he didn't grope them?
Are you a victimized woman? I assume you are, since you can relate so well.

There should be 11 different trials, he will see none, mark my words.

4. I would wager
that the women he groped have already been approached, asking them to press charges. I don't know about the statute of limitations. But if he did some groping 3 years ago, then he never has changed. He's probably done it recently.

I was very encouraged and let out a whoop! when I heard that one newspaper withdrew thier endorsement of him. Maybe it will make some folks think he isn't electable and they will vote for someone else or at least 'no' on the recall.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow morning's news talk shows will be all over him like a cheap suit. They should be lining up against him just so they can brtag about not being behind such a smarmy character. Meantime, I sure hope Saturday Night Live does a number on him tonight. It starts here in about 15 minutes.

5. There's a pretty big difference...
between being a patronizing boor that touches somebody, and being a rapist who gets off on beating women. I think it's called "penetration" in legal terms.

Being an obnoxious asswipe that comes on to everything remotely female isn't criminal unless they do something to indicate refusal. THEN it becomes criminal. I have yet to hear any of the women coming forward state that he touched them after they rebuffed his advances, or retaliated against them in any way for rebuffing him.

6. I tried to make a distinction between raping someone
and violating someone's space.

Perhaps I wasn't clear.

My point is they both are guilty of being pigs.

Mike's piggish behavior was highlighted during his rape trail.

My hope is that Arnold's piggish behavior is highlighted in an assault trial.

12. Being a pig doesn't garner jail time
but assault does.

And assault is what Arnold did.

Are you intentionally trying to be ignorant?

13. Nope....just realistic.
If somebody filed assault charges years after the fact, when there was no physical evidence of an assault, no physical damage suffered (notice I didn't say mental damage), and it coincided with a highly publicized run for political office for the accused, there is ZERO chance of getting a conviction. That's just the facts as I see them.

7. Think about the irony of Rush getting away with criminal behavior for.....
years and years that a poor person would be incarcerated for and then it coming out the day after his being bounced by ESPN for commententating that an all-star black pro quarterback is unfairly favored because of race by the media even though this guy McNabb really isn't very good, at least according to Rush. You can't make a novel like this, Tom Wolfe tried and failed.
In a fair world, this "EIB" dirtbag would go to jail a long long time.
Many of my working class and middleclass white brothers and sisters have totally lost their way. I swear they must have "Stockholm Syndrome" the way they worship Bushjr,Cheney,Saxby Chambliss and now Arnie against not only the best interests of the nation and the world, but their own families self interest.
There seems to be no way of getting through to these people.
Maybe some "Rushspeak"?
Anyhow, Cheshire Bridge dittos to Catwoman.........A true patriot.

11. Do rich white people....
live under a different law than the rest of us?

If they caught Rush with drugs in his possession, do you think he wouldn't be convicted?

Having money offers a small measure of protection in that the rich can hire the best team of attorneys money can buy, but it's no guarantee of being found not guilty, as the Max Factor heir found out in his rape trial, and the DuPont heir found out at his murder trial.

And in case you didn't know this, LOTS of poor people get away with drug related criminal behavior for years and years....until they get caught. I've seen nothing in the Rush drug case that indicates that he's getting any kind of special treatment by the police and prosecutors...if he was, this would never have become public knowledge.
