Levee worker update

per my cousin:
"... Finally heard from XXXX again this morning. He had been loaned out to the police dept to help them get some more of their vehicles going. Some of them didnt have keys so had to use some car theft equipment out of the evidence room to start them. The chief of police asked if they could keep him with them and the COE told them no as he works on all their equip besides operating. They havent bought new equipment in so long because of budget cuts that he spends all his time putting bandaids on it. One barge they have was leaking and they shoved cedar shingles in it to stop the leaks. Hopefully it will work. Thought maybe he would get some down time but it doesnt look that way for awhile. Maybe by Thanksgiving."

Effects of budget cuts loom again.
