Poll question: Howard Dean is the Nicest Presidential Candidate...
...I've ever personally met. He's the only one I've ever met. Met him at the NAACP convention here in Miami. (You know the one that Gephardt, Kucinich & Lie-berman couldn't be bothered to attend, except for last minute appearances so they could make patronizingly overdone apologies) His speech was great, and boosted my confidence that he can beat Bush. Of course Sharpton was by far the best orator...

OMG! I just realized that this is a poll form! I was just gonna post! Force of habit I guess. Okay - an on-the-fly poll.

Will you use the touchscreen machines on election day?

1. lol gringo that also means hes the meanest one youve ever met
You know why Dennis couldnt make that dont you, and John Conyers defended him as a result of it because he was defending medicare or opposing school vouchers or something.

2. Their absence didn't bother me near as much as their apologies
Patronizing and overdone to the point of being insulting. Especially Lieberman, who was like "I've done a terrible thing, and I am deeply sorry. I care so much about the plight of African Americans blah blah."

All he has to say was "I'm really sorry that I couldn't make it due to pressing legislation or whatever, but I'm here now, and this si what I have to say:"

But no, they all acted as though they were apologizing for PERSONALLY LYNCHING A BLACK MAN or something on that level.

The NAACP is a pretty bright group. I'm pretty sure they saw through it.

3. Lieberman I understand your anger but I think Kucinich had a valid reason
Both John Conyers and I and I think he would know better that Dennis had his eye out to help the African American community by staying. If there hadnt been a vote in the house that day I would bet 1000 bucks Dennis would had been there, he is a sitting congressman and its part of his ethic to do his job whenever he can.

4. yup
their record is far more important than just this one thing. that was the thing with trent lott, he couldn't get away with the strom thurmond comments because his history was full of racism. it's the same with most right wingers. but kucinich has a good record on civil rights. i'm sure the others do also.

6. You better change the title
Gosh...damn thunder has awakened me at this ungodly hour.
You need to change the title. The rules say content must match the title.

7. I usually vote on paper dropped into a box.
Best way and I think Can. does it like that, but you may have to wait a few hrs. to see who wins. I think TV is the push for all these crazy things we vote on.Keep it cheap. give some counters a job and for get the big companies making millions on these voting days.
