The damage has been done and the facts are well known. The Bush cabal, by outing Wilson's wife, has been exposed as vindictive, stupid, traitorous bastards. This business could have been predicted. It was pure Rove and vintage Bush.

The five former CIA operatives are out there on Nightline telling the world they are Republicans and any further attempts by the WH to make this political would mean total war.

Bush and Rove messed with the wrong guy when they crossed Wilson. They called at least six reporters and publications until they found the willing lapdog Novak. Whoever made the call is irrelevant. We know Rove referred to Plame as "fair game" after the Novak piece in July. There was no internal investigation. It was a work in progress.

But now the cat is out of the bag. The toothpaste is out of the tube. Can't put it back. Bush is through. He can't spin this as "just politics"; the facts speak for themselves. Plame was outted. Period. Regardless of who takes the fall, Bush will ultimately be thought of as the one responsible. And if he stonewalls and covers up, he will experience Chinese water torture: eventually, he will dissemble.

Who had the means, motive and opportunity? Who hoped to benefit by this intimidation? Who has consistently lied about everything? Why would Bush seek the truth about this one? He knows who did it. The CIA and the Repukes know.

It took two years for Watergate to unravel. This one already has. His days are numbered.

1. Watergate had Bernstein and the whore Woodward
And "Deep Throat". I keep hoping some True Patriot™ will out these criminals and that may still happen. And I also hope the CIA will be so outraged at being BushCo patsies they will fight back.

3. Indeed!
With all we have learned through parallel investigative journalism (amateur or not), one thing is clear:

WE CAN DO THE JOB OURSELVES.

It's time we stepped up and reclaimed self-governance. We can nail these bastards to the wall, one way or the other.

4. Phoney Blair Learned the Hard Way
Bushie's buddy Tony tried to pin the whole war thing on a conspiracy by the Inteliigence Community. Talk about something blowing up in your face! It is hard to comprehend how stupid Bush would have to be to keep trying to mess with the people that know where all of the bodies are buried, but that's Bush. Here is how Blair is seen today.

5. Bush has already lost the intel war; the end game is a mere formality
As soon as we hear about the first official casualties from this episode(Al Martin claims that at least 70 have died) the game will be over..

6. I wish it were that simple
In Bushville, nothing is as it seems. They go to war to maintain peace. Lies become "technically accurate statements." Protestors who are complying fully with state and federal laws, exercising their right of free speech, become "traitors." Serious questions about Bush policies become "personal attacks on the President."

Having said that, the best weapon against a liar is the truth. I hope Bush is kicked out of office before it's too late, but he's pulled through so many scandals so far...

7. It's up to the Congressional Dems to push this.
The media whores are utterly unreliable; they will gladly allow the story to be pushed aside by any sensational crap they can find.

8. I hope you are right, but I fear that instead
This will turn out to be another painful lesson that American lives are meaningless to Bush when he has an agenda to push or a point to prove. 9/11 proved this beyond a shadow of a doubt for me, this only reinforces it.
