My winning presidential ticket

(fill in the Dem blank here)/Joseph Wilson.
Only because I don't think he'll run for the top spot.
This is the kind of person I want leading my country.
8 years as VP, and 8 more as president.

Do you think he'd accept a draft for VP?

I think he's the kind of stand-up guy who might take it if he felt obligated to help his country try and climb out of the mess we're in.

2. He's a smart person.

Most smart people do not want to subject themselves to the scrutiny involved with being president. There are exceptions to this rule, but those exceptions are also attention whores.

I'm a Wisconsinite, too (from Waukesha).

But trof's query got me wondering -- Wilson's already been the subject of scrutiny. He probably didn't want that attention, but he's got it. Maybe that would be a jumping-off point?
