Here's how we get Bush/Cheney OUT of office
Write to all the Congress folks - House and Senate and tell them that if they don't demand the Impeachment/Resignation of Bush/Cheney, impeachment or removal of Rumsfeld, Rice, Wolfowitz, etc that we will VOTE FOR WHOEVER RUNS AGAINST THEM..

ALL OF THEM. Every single one. Democrat or Republican. Diebold aside this may still scare the shit out of them.

Let THEM go nuts trying to figure out who is going to get screwed that way.. either way they have to come out and demand Impeachment, etc BEFORE their competitor does...

It's a nice simple statement that strikes at the core of every single person running for office, what can be scarier than knowing that a large contingent is going to vote "for the OTHER guy"?

perception managment :)

2. That would be the fly in the oinment
Yes indeedy. The callous indifference to public opinion pretty well confirms that the elections ARE programmed.

4. it's what I've been saying all along,
in retrospect....remember the MASSIVE opposition to Iraq in the lead-up, how so many of us thought it would MATTER...

well it didn't

Because they knew they already had it in the bag.

Sigh.

3. Doesn't matter. DO IT ANYWAY.
DO IT ANYWAY!

JUST DO IT ANYWAY!!!

They ALL need to hear this.

And you can call 'em for FREE and TELL them:

(877) 762 - 8762 to the Capitol Hill switchboard - which will transfer you to anybody's office in the House and/or Senate.

They HAVE to hear this, whether you doubt they're interested OR NOT. It STILL NEEDS TO BE SAID! OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! You know, to "kind of catapult the propaganda."

Visualize IMPEACHMENT!!!
And then CALL and WRITE THEM AND DEMAND IT!!!

15. Yep
like my mom used to say, "If you don't ASK, you don't GET.."

It has to be drilled into the public's mind, and this is just another simple and viral way to do it..

thanks Calimary!

5. A better method would be
to sneak into the Oval Office with a hammer and nails, and claim you saw a hundred dollar bill lying on the stairs just down the hall. When they all stampede out, nail the door shut.

None of these guys care about votes. They care about money. The votes they can steal, but the money, they have to... well... steal, too. Hmm.

If there really were a Sodom and Gommorah God, he'd have gotten the White House and the Capitol Building a long time ago.

7. Pray that Fitzgerald hands down indictments
and expands his investigation to include 9-11 and Katrina. That would be the fastest why to get rid of them. We don't need Congress or DOJ approval and the Grand Jury is already in place.

8. Do you actually think
our current representatives care what we think???

You might as well think happy thoughts: la, la, la, la, la, snort, giggle.

Bush will never be impeached. It's a colossal waste of time and emotions to think otherwise. The house (GOP rule lock, stock and barrel) has to vote to impeach.

We should spend our time grooming people who representative our values to run against them. Building a grass roots coalition a district at a time.

Yeah, I had them with my ARMY OF ONE ad - when I went on Scarborough I was just WAITING for him to trash my ad, so I could say, "Gee Joe, I can't believe that You of all people AREN'T BACKING THE TROOPS!"

But the little turd was actually Nice to me, at least the second time, the first time he threatened to shut off my microphone :)

13. Let me guess
You are not a critical thinker who is concerned about our Constitution being used to wipe the ass of the ass in the Oval Office, nor our democracy which is being destroyed. :freak:

11. Good idea, BUT
we don't have any leverage on these guys....

a couple of hundred people per district threatening to vote for "the other guy" isn't going to make any difference (in the eyes of the professional politicians this won't pass the giggle test)....

It has to be a clear mandate first and a threat second.

14. This IS Leverage
It's all about PR - look at "Brownie", he's toast, gone.. and all it took was PERCEPTION and public outrage..

Imagine if CNN said there was a campaign by hundreds of thousands of people writing/calling/emailing, etc saying if Bush/Cheney Don't Resign or no one calls for Impeachement that this large group will Vote for the OTHER GUY..

THese guys live in the margins as votes go and everyone knows it, if the Perception gets out there (ie WE create the PR) then those in Power will need to make a move..

Republicans will have nothing to lose, except VOTES unless they go after Bush, and this pushes Democrats in the right direction, they are already scared shitless that the Repukes will always control it all and win more seats..

Remember, when calling or writing if you don't tell them what your political persuasion is they don't KNOW WHO IS VOTING FOR WHO..

I betcha it would work, but it would be have to be done on a large scale so the media/blogs pick it up.. plus it's nice and simple :)

Thanks to those who see where I'm coming from, it's a PR Psych-out, but remember, basically that's all they are doing to US with the media - let's give it back to them..

20. Nice try. Next idea, please.
The problem with your idea is that the staff of a congressperson (They are the ones who open the mail.) already know the stance of the DUers, and know that no one here is going to vote for ANY Republican anyway, no matter what. So there will be no effect on the Reps, and they have the majority.

Without a majority in the House, THERE IS NO IMPEACHMENT.

REPUBLICANS DO NOT IMPEACH REPUBLICANS.

22. House members have to run every 2 years
They know they are in trouble if they stick with Bush. They were already trying to distance themselves from Bush before Katrina with the waning support for the Iraqi war. By calling them every day as I have will let them know that if they continue to support Bush and not demanding his impeachment, they won't be getting your vote. When you call they don't ask wether you are a republican or a democrat. They have no idea that you belong to Democratic Underground. All they know it that you are an American Citizen voicing your concern and opinion. They have a formula that they use in the media and politics, for every person who makes the call or writes, there are 100 people who thought of doing the same thing but didn't. So make the calls, every day. It is the least that we can do.

And remember, Impeachment starts in the House. Nixon avoided impeachment due to the pressure of his House members that told him that his time was up. He needed to resign because he was going to be impeached.

Make that call today and everyday.
