There is no reason to hold back on our attacks on Arnold, Rush, etc., and I can't muster an ounce of sympathy. Here's why, for those who don't seem to get it:

1. The Repugs have the White House. Not a smart, competent, thoughtful, we're-all-in-this-together, domestically and internationally Repug, no. A stupid, warmongering, poor and the rest of the world be damned Repug.

2. The Repugs have both houses of Congress. Can you say free pass?

3. The Repugs control the media, and the public laps it up like hungry kittens. Even in the publishing world, the right has the upper hand.

I have no tolerance for sympathy for Rush or Arnie, or excusing either's behavior. Defense of their actions is tantamount, IMHO, to support for Arnie's election. I'll be damned if I will let you do that. Go ahead, give me your best shot in defense.

1. Get out the truth any way you can
Yesterday, at a harvest festival, there was a booth manned by the families of the local Guard unit which is in Iraq. I went in and talked to them, asking about conditions there, etc, and did a little education in what was going on. They listened. At the end, I told them I protested the war because I supported the troops and didn't want them to go over there in the first place. I signed a poster that was going to the unit, and donated money, leaving with the words, "I walk my talk".

4. Republicans not taking responsibility for their own actions
That is the biggest crime right now...blaming others
for printing news about their own actions and words.

The assault on the LA Times by people like Novak et al not
for printing the truth, but printing it the last
week of a very short campaign.
