Latest polls put CA recall numbers almost tied
From
Women Against the Recall e-mail

Here are the latest polls! And the momentum is on our side!
47% will vote NO RECALL.

Last night various tracking polls were conducted by (Maslin), Knight Ridder (newspapers group) and Moore & Assoc an independent polling firm all released their findings this morning.
>
Here is how it breaks down.
>
Maslin & Assoc -- 50% yes --- 47% No
Knight Ridder -- 49% yes -- 47% No
Moore and Assoc --- 48% yes -- 47% no
>
Whichever poll you look at -- all of them agree that the 1st question on the ballot has surged anywhere from 8-10 points in the last 48 hours.
>
This is a statistical tie -- the momentum is on our side!

We are surging and we need to get EVERY democrat out there to the polls,

1. YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
Democrats are MUCH more motivated to go to the polls. I know for a fact that there are a LOT of Republicans who don't agree with this recall and are actually embarrassed by it -- as they should be.

For those of you not in California, we need your positive vibes out there in the cosmos. Ready?

OOOOHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMM

13. Maybe passing around a few copies of this will help
http://www.gregpalast.com/detail.cfm?artid=283&row=0

...It turns out that Schwarzenegger knowingly joined the hush-hush encounter as part of a campaign to sabotage a Davis-Bustamante plan to make Enron and other power pirates then ravaging California pay back the $9 billion in illicit profits they carried off.

...One month after Cruz brings suit, Enron's Lay calls an emergency secret meeting in L.A. of his political buck-buddies, including Arnold.

...the Bush commissioners cook up a terrific scheme:  charge the companies with conspiracy but offer them, behind closed doors, deals in which they have to pay only two cents on each dollar they filched.

Problem:  the slap-on-the-wrist refunds won't sail if the Governor of California won't play along.  Solution:  Re-call the Governor...

6. Excellent!
I will be voting no on recall on Tuesday! Looks like the California GOP is going to hang itself on this issue. They've thrown ALL of their credibility behind htis, if they lose then they are toast! They have all of their political capital riding on this, so if they lose they will sink like a rock in CA and I can bet you that GWB will not get the electoral votes from here!

I know you want to contest these numbers, as I have seen you defending Arnold in the Dowd thread.

12. Encouraging
All I can say to my fellow California DUers is: Please join me in voting Tuesday; please vote No on the Recall and vote for Cruz Bustamate as the replacement candidate in order to block the least qualified candidate, Arnold Schwarzenegger, if no other reason.

21. The Democrats are more motivated
That's one of the things the "No on Recall" campaign is counting on and that we've been actively working for. We're seeing a LOT of non-voters (that we've registered in time for the recall) and sporadic voters become activists. As I stated in another thread, one of the reasons the polls are swinging so wildly is that we've never had this type of election before. Consequently, political history, traditional stats and "conventional wisdom" are useless. This is uncharted territory.

23. Keep it going CA - momentum against recall is on your side
I think even the angriest California residents can see that voting for Arnie the predator is not the right move to take. Those who blame Davis are going to stay home. Arnold can't have it both ways, where he apologizes for "bad behavior" and then says the stories are not true. Like he said "where there is smoke there is fire". This fire will not be put out, these abused women will no longer be silenced. And the hypocritical repuke party will have to suffer for having endorsed this groper.
