YeeHaa! David Drier's smarmy smile wiped.
Rep. from CA on CNN.
Oh he's so cute when he gets mad. That big toothy grin he always shows on TV is GONE!
Wiped off by Art Torres (CA Dem Party)
Shouting him right back down about Ahnuhld.
Oh, boy. Drier is STEAMED. He's even mad at Wolf.
This is just too good.
Ranting, frothing, finally we see his true colors.

4. he tried his best
but Art whipped his ass.

It was GREAT.

Art is the type who WON'T back down, and WON'T be talked over.

Dreier was so frustrated.

Every one of his "points" were countered (big time) by Torres.

Torres mopped the floor with that jerk.

9. It's too bad Californians can't vote for Torres instead of
Davis or Bustamente, IMHO.

11. The DNC should hire Art as their official cable spokesman
He should be on TV as much as the networks allow him to be on. Any Repub would not have a chance. He is being wasted in California.

12. Art Torres, love him or hate him,
is a bulldog who doesn't back down. Overtalking and intimidation tactics just won't work on him. He's ALWAYS been up to that challenge.

6. Big time.
He always has that fake "good guy" smile when he's ripping the guts out of an opponent and it just did this old heart a world of good to see it goners. He totally lost it. I hope his opponent can use this footage for a campaign ad in the next election.

3. ART TORRES is AWESOME!!!!!
I love this guy. He's the first Democratic media operative that I have seen in decades that can shake-up the Repuke media mantra. He gets good zingers in and puts the Repuke scum on the ropes!

Please god, send more Art Torres to Earth...

5. Is he wearing the internal poll results on his sleeve?
I wonder if the internal polling is caving?

I'm even sensing the media is backing off a little on its whoring because, when Arnold loses, they don't want to be dramatically out of step with reality.

13. I, too, wonder what Arnold's campaign polls are showing
after all, he first responded to the allegations with a blanket apology for bad behavior, but then he suddenly switched and began attacking his accusers. There hs to be a reason for that.

18. Yes, the responses are all over the place...
..."this is what it's like on movie sets"..."Clinton did it"..."I didn't do it"..."I appologize"..."it's just sleeze politics"

It seems like they're trying all sorts of stuff and none of it's working.

It's because Arnold has such a vague indentity--a product of keeping him from answering quesions for so long. It's really too late to make him into something stronger which can't be defined by the groping. All he can do is respond and hope that he hits on something that resonates well. But nothing resonates well in light of these accusations.

20. Mitt Romney canceled trip to stump for Arnold
says cancelled due to "political attacks", but he still endorses him.

Could it be politically damaging to be seen as too close to Arnold right now? I would think that a savvy politician would keep Arnold and his "problems" at arms length. If I were in the GOP, I sure as hell would keep my distance.

14. Liberal reporters (or talk show hosts) here an idea:
Collect all clips of repuglicans excusing Arnold's behavior and have a laugh with them. The great ones will be the ones that bad mouthed Clinton but excuse Arnold.

17. That interspersed with headlines about Arnold would be good
That would be a good reel for the Dem convention.
I'd buy a ticket to see that also.

19. Dreier has staked his own career on Gropzilla
Edited on Sun Oct-05-03 12:57 PM by Snellius
Whether Arnold Schickelgroper wins or loses, Drier has already lost. Romney has already backed out. Many conservative Republicans are probably just as shocked and appalled as anyone else. Arnold may turn out to be a bigger embarrassment for them than George Bush.

22. And if Arnold does manage to win
this whole mess is not going away. The can of worms has only just been opened. At this point, it might be better for the GOP if the recall is defeated. (BTW, I love the name "Arnold Schickelgroper.")
