I want to take the opportunity to apologize to the earnest members, mods and administrators of this site. I'm sure, at some point in the last four years, I've been a snarky, cynical son-a-bitch to many of you, and I am not proud of some of the so-called "debates" I've initiated.

I woke this morning resolved to shed my cynicism; my anger; my suffering. My gut tells me to begin with an apology. I hope you will accept it.

Sorry. I saw a chance to be snarky and cynical and took a swing.

Cynicism, anger and suffering have their place, and if we are honest with ourselves they are unavoidable. There are horrible things going on and if you are human you will be angry and cynical and you will feel suffering.

But you don't have to let it take over your heart. You can let it turn into energy that can be used in positive ways. And it sounds like that's what you are doing. You can vent about the bad guys here while remembering that we are on your side (well, the vast majority of us, anyway ;) )

While I don't think I have ever gotten wrapped up in an ugly debate with you, I just want to say that your apology is accepted, and your honesty is a wonderful thing.

So hope you don't mind a hug from a stranger :hug:

I once suspected that you were a troll. I'm thinking of only one thread in particular. I realize now that you have been here for quite some time but I have to admit that in that particular thread you gave me pause. :)

Sometimes anger, cynicism, bitterness and resentment can be useful. To me, anyway. Just saying.
