Are there any silver linings or possible blessings in disguise for Ahnold
winning the recall? What I mean is, how could this tragedy, if it happened, be turned in our favor over the next few years so that we could assure his ass out of office in 2006? I always like to look for a blessing in disguise in every awful event, and can usually find one, but sometimes it takes a while. Thoughts??? Ideas on how we can keep up the attack?

1. The stories about these women he's assaulted aren't going away.
Especially not if some of them file charges, which is likely. I'd sure as hell file charges against an asshole who did that sort of shit to me.

Why nobody has already reported him is beyond me...

3. Until now, anyone confronting him would have 'the studio'
on her back in a big way.

Right now it is safe == the studios can't protect Arnold.

2. He will embarass the freepers to no end
Edited on Sun Oct-05-03 05:43 PM by E_Zapata
He will be the laughing stock of the country -- more so than the idiot son in DC/Crawford.

The media won't even begin to be able to spin him in a light other than a fool, and the freepers will be forced to eat crow every single day until his butt is thrown out.

And, frankly, the freeps need to be taken down a few notches.

The Energy crisis will be illuminated with Arnold in office (more so than out of office) and that points the moral compass to DC.

I think Arn is the medication (painful as it is to endure) that will ensure the ouster of bush in 2004.

Now, if he loses, this whole experience can be beneficial to Maria and her children. You can't get on a sound board yelling what a great guy this guy is (when he isn't) and NOT have it tap one's conscience and best sense of self-interest. Perhaps she will get the help she needs. If Arn wins, she will mutate into a few years of being a Kennedy stepf-ford wife, and then probably just fade into oblivion after Arn is thrown out.

Remember: This whole Rove plan was concocted when Bush had unseemly high approval ratings and the best teflon bribes could buy. The tide has turned for goodd, against bush. Bringing Arnold in during this new phase of Bushdom is the WORST thing that could happen. Arn simply ILLUMINATES the ugly truth about the pukes. It's beautiful really. Rove's due justice......

5. Yes
As I said on another thread, he is (and will continue to be, if he wins) a huge embarrassment for the Repukes.

4. Despite the (R) next to his name,
he's no republican , at least not by any conventional standard.

6. Yeah, well, there's no political party to fit Arnold --
(A) after his name, maybe, for "asshole"? And, as we keep saying here, Bush and his bunch aren't true repubs, either -- they're fascist neocons. The fact is that they are all declared Republicans, and they all need to be dumped.

7. First of all,
Edited on Sun Oct-05-03 06:07 PM by murphymom
there ARE no easy answers to California's problems. It's a huge state with an extremely diverse economy and population. If he wins I think it will become blindingly clear very shortly that he won't be able to do a damn thing except make himself look stupid, expecially with a Democratic legislature and the rest of the top officials running things.

Second, he's a pig, a bully and a boor, and the more he's in the public eye, unscripted, the more it's going to come out and the public will see his true character. I suspect he will prove to be a huge embarrassment to the Republican party in the long run.

Third, on a lighter note, if he becomes Governator we might be spared another Terminator sequel.....
