It's "One nation indivisible" y'all...
Regardless of whatever god you're under, or whether or not you're under a god at all...

2. The current version is logically impossible
Its either One Nation or Under God. Can't be both.

6. That's how I learned it
back in the Dark Ages before the "godless Commie" scare. I think many people forget that the phrase "under God" was only added in 1954.

9. That's right...
I had just looked it up on the Internet to get the date. Dwight Eisenhower is the one who added the "under God" by signing some kind of declaration in 1954. It may have been that it didn't get implemented until later, but I clearly remember stumbling over those "new" words when I was in second or third grade after having obediently learned the pledge in the first.

Here is the interesting and informative link that I read

http://history.vineyard.net/pledge.htm

and from another source, this quote by Ike:

"From this day forward, the millions of our school children will daily proclaim in every city and town, every village and rural schoolhouse, the dedication of our Nation and our people to the Almighty." President Eisenhower (1954) after signing into law a bill to have "under God" added to the original pledge. 1

8. That's how I learned it too
But I would have sworn it was more recently than '54.

I learned it from my grandmother who was an immigrant - and so very proud of her new citizenship.
