WOW!!! Sam Waksal admitting his crimes. Saying "I did it". Except for the
Marth Stewart thing. Saying he did not tell her to sell her shares. I believe him.

Will this help her case?

On 60 Minutes. My gosh, someone admitting that he did what he was accused of and prosecuted for. Saying he knew what he did was wrong. Feels like stepping into the Twilight Zone.

3. It will help Martha enormously
All she has to do is call him to the stand and ask him to repeat his confession, that the government demanded that he incriminate her to get a lighter sentence, that he had no motive not to, that he couldn't because it wasn't true. Without Waskal, I think that most of the charges will be dropped by the government. The remaining charges are probably so lightweight that she has no chance of jail time. And with her resources, the government will fear losing outright and may drop the case or plead her out to nothing.

The timing of this, which will most certainly come before Nov. 2004, will hurt the Bush administration, which will wind up looking quite friendly to corporate crooks.

4. Repub "justice" might lose Democrat Martha Stewart.
After all those Republican Congressmice made such a display of her, after the press came out with "news stories" every couple of months spreading Martha's doom is just a couple more months away with the same regularity of the economy being just about to go up, again and again and again, and it might be NOTHING!!!

Imagine that, why, it's almost as though the Republicons were trying to be partisans regardless of the cost to others.
