Reuters Photog Appears to Capture Bush at U.N. Writing Note About 'Bathroom Break'

NEW YORK In what seems destined to become one of the most yacked about photos of the month, if not year, a Reuters photographer today seems to have captured President George W. Bush scribbling a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice suggesting that he needed to take a "bathroom break" during a session at the United Nations.

The photo by Denver-based Rick Wilking, taken over a man's shoulder, shows an official -- identified in the caption (at Reuters' official site) as President Bush -- scribbling in pencil on a small white piece of paper the words: "I think I MAY NEED A BATHROOM break?"

It's been a really tough two weeks for him. Not that I feel the least bit sad for the asshole and his administration. He screwed up the Katrina response and who knows how many people are DEAD because of that. He also had to cut short his five week vacation - which was totally fucked up by Cindy Sheehan and supporters.

And now we learn that he needs permission from Condi to pee. How sad is that - the man doesn't even know the rules of protocol at official UN meetings.

Just gotta say, you reap what you sow. (And no, I don't believe in karma.)

This picture sent out by Reuters shows open contempt for the formerly untouchable golden boy. I don't know if Wilking intended that, but Reuters certainly must. This has been spread far and wide via Reuters, Yahoo, and the wires. Let the whole world, particularly this country, mock the boy king. He's earned our contempt. Let him feel it.

When you're doing that kind of work, you're not looking at it the way your audience does. I'll bet he saw nothing but lighting, focus, and composition.

Remember the Arabic translator who refused to sign the agreement that he would not discuss anything he saw/heard during his duties with WH? As soon as he quit he started talking about what he had soon?

More, we need more!! More people to step out of the WH and start talking!

This is a good way to quit with a bang. If he goes back to freelancing, the publicity will help.

And, since he's spent so much time with Bush, perhaps he wanted to demonstrate his respect for "the President."

They are too far into this to give up, and he's under total control. He must ask for permission to do anything.

With Ronnie, it was easy. Ronster was comfortable in the role as spokesman, and he could memorize his scripts. Tinkles is a little more difficult. His booze & coke addled mind does not retain well without hours of cramming, so thay have to use the wireless. His arrogance comes out at inopportune moments. He's awful when he goes off-script. But, as long as they keep him doped, he's manageable.

every day on my SBC/Yahoo homepage, they have a section for "most emailed photo" and "most viewed photo"- which both usually involve some kind of T and/or A, usually of the female persuasion.
